OMAHA BEACH
This huge walk-through museum diorama is largely built of colored fiber reinforced concrete - layered up by C.D.I. - after careful planning and construction of support structures.
The top two photos show the evolution of the German bunker in the distance to its completion at the bottom photo.
To keep the structures from getting to heavy, lower portions of the "bunker" were thin walls cast on site by C.D.I. while the upper portion (out of reach of visitors) was a themed plaster to blend with the concrete below.
