Creating useful nooks makes a house a home. Here, the top photo shows a "banquette" tucked in between the kitchen and the front entrance. When the table is slid into place, it provides a place for breakfast or casual dining.
The massive tree trunk in the front entrance supports the loft above. The setting seemed to call for windswept leaves around the tree. The custom made leaves mimicked those found outside this home in the fall.

The vessel sink base was built from a remaining section of the large tree trunk supporting the entrance loft area. The clear glass vessel sink allowed the owners to showcase the beautiful end grain and color of the inside of the tree that is normally hidden.
