Several awe inspiring dioramas were developed and built on-site by Creative Display Installation as a back-drop for the story of the evolution of flight. Two of the scenes featured at Fantasy of Flight are so large they actually accommodate a biplane flying (hanging) overhead and in another a full-size, flyable B-17 sits on a wintertime runway in England.
World War I "No Man's Land" walk-through set the scene for a vintage bi-plane hung overhead. All "dirt" is colored concrete allowing visitor contact while keeping maintenance to a minimum.
This diorama was developed and built by Creative Display Installation while providing site management for Design Craftsmen, the prime contractor.

A sandbag shrouded entrance to the WWI "Underground Headquarters" leads to many of the features of life in the trenches.
Forced perspective adds direction and depth to the walk-through diorama. Mud surfaces are all durable, textured, and thoroughly colored concrete.
