The Chisholm Trail meandered from Texas to Kansas following "washes" and creek beds. Cowboys spent weeks on the rugged trail with the idea that, while just trying to survive the hardships, their first concern was to keep the cattle together and herded north.
Upon entering the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, visitors are greeted with a diorama built by Creative Display Installation for Pico, Atlanta.
Depicted are many indigenous species of wildlife in their natural habitat that would have been found along the Chisholm Trail.
